About the Role:
St Helens Hospital is seeking a motivated and skilled Specialty Registrar (SPR) in Ophthalmology to join our busy ophthalmology department on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience and work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality eye care services.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient and inpatient ophthalmology consultations under consultant supervision

Assist in diagnosis and management of a range of ophthalmic conditions

Participate in theatre lists, including assisting in surgeries where appropriate

Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical governance activities

Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures

Person Specification:

Currently enrolled as an SPR in Ophthalmology with relevant training experience

GMC registered with a valid license to practice

Excellent clinical and communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Flexible and reliable with a professional approach to patient care
