Crown Hills Community College is a leading school in Leicester with a 70 year history of inclusive education. It provides a state of the art curriculum to 1,500 students from inner city backgrounds, and is committed to sport, physical activity, and overall personal development.
Role OverviewWe are looking for an exceptional Sports Coach to work with the Deputy Head of Faculty and lead our Sports Academy. The role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the vision and direction of the academy and support the wider PE team.
Core Objectives- Ensure that the Sports Academy programme supports pupil progress in sport and their academic studies.
- Help maintain the high level of provision of extra curricular physical activity and sport at Crown Hills.
- Promote pupil progress in PE by working with designated small groups or classes alongside the PE faculty.
- Run the mentoring programme and deliver specialist coaching, mentoring and fitness training for Sports Academy pupils.
- Support teachers and deliver physical education lessons, providing support and leading lessons as required.
- Lead extra curricular activities, accompany teams to fixtures and events, and coordinate visits from elite coaches, speakers and partners.
- Celebrate Sports Academy achievements through t shirts, blazer badges and the annual sports awards evening.
- Assist in the development of the wider PE curriculum and contribute to professional learning within the faculty.
- Outstanding communication and inter personally skills to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Deep commitment to the school's aims and values.
- Coaching or educational background across the private and public sector.
- Experience delivering excellence to children from deprived backgrounds is desirable.

Key Dates- School visit - Tuesday 11th November at 3:45pm or Thursday 13th November at 8am.
