The Opportunity
A specialist education provider is seeking a Speech & Language Therapist to join its established multidisciplinary therapy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for either a newly qualified therapist looking to develop their experience within education or an experienced clinician seeking a collaborative environment where therapy is fully embedded into the school day.
Working as part of a wider therapy and education team, you will support children and young people with a range of communication needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs

Complete specialist assessments and develop individualised therapy programmes

Deliver direct and indirect interventions across the school environment

Contribute to EHCP reviews, annual reviews and multidisciplinary planning meetings

Work closely with teachers, support staff and families to embed communication strategies

Provide advice, modelling and training to school staff
-
Monitor progress and measure outcomes against agreed targets
-
Produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate clinical records
-
Contribute to a whole-school communication-friendly approach

Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

Language Disorder and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)

Additional learning and developmental needs
What We're Looking For
-
Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
-
HCPC registration (or pending registration)
-
Membership of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (desirable)
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
-
Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs
-
Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development
Experience within SEN schools, paediatrics, community services or specialist educational settings would be advantageous but is not essential.
