CPL are recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist to join their team and to provide high quality speech and language therapy assessment and interventions to adults with a range of speech, language, communication, voice and eating/drinking/swallowing difficulties.

Areas covered by the dept are Gen Med, Surgical, ENT, Orthopedics, Frailty, Head and Neck Cancer and Critical Care. We have both Video fluoroscopy and FEES Service. For a candidate the broad range of experience and onsite support and supervision may be attractive.

The typical caseload consists of patients presenting with a range of neurological, medical & surgical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Duties include routine intake assessments

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist and CORU registration
• Some postgraduate experience in an acute setting is desirable for staff grade applicants, placement experience will be considered
• Experience of managing a general medical caseload with particular experience of stroke is desirable
• Dysphagia experience and qualification
• Participate in cross site work as required
• Experience in conducting Video fluoroscopy is desirable
• Be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
