Specialty Doctor, Rehabilitation Services - Wesham

Specialty Doctor - General Adult, Rehab (Preston)

We are looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to work in our Rehabilitation Service, based at the Wesham Rehabilitation Unit. The post is full time (10 PAs) and fixed term for a period of 2 years initially.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be required to provide medical input to the patients including psychiatric and physical health reviews.

There are both inpatient and community arms to the rehab service, and the post holder will be expected to support both settings.

Additionally, the postholder will work within the multidisciplinary team, including attendance at weekly multidisciplinary review meetings.

About us

To be eligible to apply for this post, you must possess at least 3 years' experience in psychiatry and be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice. You are required to be Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment.
