Job Description
Overview 
University Hospital Wishaw (UHW) is recruiting a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics to join the existing Anaesthetist team and multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Provide 24/7 resident cover for obstetric anaesthesia in the maternity unit ( 5,000 deliveries per year).
- Contribute to out of hours care in the CEPOD theatre, obstetric and/or intensive care.
- Deliver anaesthetic care for adult and paediatric trauma, surgical and orthopaedic theatres, including upper limb lists.
- Participate in pre assessment clinic, peri operative medicine and pain services.
- Completed Specialty training in Anaesthetics (or in progress with UK Specialty Competency).
- Full UK Medical registration and NHS Induction experience.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in obstetric, critical care and trauma anaesthesia.
- Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and medical education.
