SEN Teaching Assistant - Rochdale

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive SEN school in Rochdale. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
  • Support students' emotional, social, and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
