Hours of Work: 24 hours per week

Salary: 21 over £12.80

Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings.

In recent years, the hotel has undergone significant investment and renovation, transforming the bedrooms, restaurant, residents' lounge, sports bar and all public areas to deliver a refined and contemporary guest experience.

December marked the completion and opening of the new Salus Spa facilities, further enhancing the estate's luxury leisure offering. The next phase of development will see the addition of new bedrooms, expanded event spaces and additional treatment rooms, all scheduled to open later this year.

Main purpose of the role

To ensure that the Spa & Leisure guests are welcomed to the business, while ensuring that the Spa & Leisure areas are kept to the highest standards.

Main duties include
  • To ensure that all Residents and Leisure guests always receive a high level of customer service from pre arrival until they depart.
  • Daily assisting with Spa reception with guest meet and greet, spa orientation, Spa & Leisure guests check in and out, taking payment, alongside internal customer enquiries on service and bookings.
  • To ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness in the Leisure area.
  • To adhere to the opening and closing procedures of the department.
  • Assist in the cleaning of the department and light maintenance of the equipment.
  • To always maintain personal hygiene standards.
  • Assist in the monitoring and control of the pool in relation to standards given in the maintenance manual.
  • To be responsible for handling cash and cashing up at the end of a shift.
  • Be able to carry out both pool and spa tests and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Provide refreshments to day spa, hotel, and Leisure guests within the Spa.
  • Maintaining an adequate provision of towels, robes, and slippers throughout the day for all day spa guests and Hotel residents.
  • Regular changing room checks for cleanliness and making sure the used towel drops are regularly emptied and used laundry taken to the in-house laundry.
  • Pool side checks, checking for cleanliness and all equipment is running correctly.
