The team includes Health and Wellbeing Assessors, Social Workers, Experienced Social Workers, Advanced Social Workers, and a Team Manager.
Croydon Council seeks a resourceful and dynamic manager with strong communication and leadership skills to lead the South Disability Team. The role involves developing services to meet clients' assessed needs as per the Care Act 2014, managing the team's budget, and working in line with Community Led Support, integrated partnerships with Health, ICN+ Service, and other partners. The Team Manager will lead the team to achieve positive outcomes for clients, collaborating with health colleagues and stakeholders. We are looking for an inspirational leader to join our management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational management of social workers within a locality-based Integrated Care Team.
- Manage social workers to work effectively in an integrated, multi-disciplinary team focusing on Community Led Support and preventative services.
- Collaborate with Service Managers, council colleagues, and external professionals to deliver social care and embed positive cultural and behavioral changes.
- Oversee professional standards, manage risk and performance, ensure legislative compliance, and support health and social care transformation agendas.
- Contribute to strategic service development, working across social care, care networks, hospital teams, and voluntary sectors.
- Develop quality assurance, demand, and workload management systems.
- Manage local residents and staffing budgets with support from finance and senior management.
- Ensure health and safety for staff, residents, and communities.
- Promote team working, professionalism, creativity, and person-centered practice, adapting to a changing public service environment.
- Demonstrate strong social work skills, knowledge of legislation, and leadership capacity, including safeguarding responsibilities.
