An exciting opportunity for a talented and reliable Sous Chef to join a highly regarded independent, chef led dining concept in London, known for its seasonal, creative, and produce driven approach. This is a unique role within an intimate kitchen environment, focused on delivering a refined set menu experience with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency, and collaboration. This is a hands on Sous Chef position working closely with the Head Chef to deliver a consistent and high quality set menu offering. Reliability and consistency are critical, this is a small team where every service counts.

The Role Working Pattern
  • Wednesday (Prep Day)
    • Midday - 5/6pm (flexible depending on workload)
  • Thursday to Saturday (Service Days)
    • Approx. 4:00pm - close (typically 12:00-1:00am)
  • Sunday to Tuesday
    • Off
  • Total Hours
    • 35-40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Service
  • Support the delivery of a high-quality, seasonal set menu
  • Maintain consistency and precision across all dishes
  • Contribute to prep and mise en place for service days
  • Assist in service execution across both core and experimental concepts
Kitchen Operations
  • Work closely with the Head Chef on daily operations
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
  • Support stock control and prep planning
Team Contribution
  • Be a dependable, consistent presence within a small team
  • Contribute positively to kitchen culture and service flow
  • Adapt to both structured and more creative service styles
Candidate Profile Experience
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous
  • Background in quality led, fresh food kitchens
  • Experience with set menus or tasting menus preferred

Salary & Package
  • Salary - £41,600 plus tips
  • 35-40 hours per week
  • Consistent 3 day weekend (Sunday-Tuesday off)
