Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of food safety and presentation.
Duties
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various menu items, ensuring freshness and quality.
Cook and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of food.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is essential; training will be provided.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
