Job Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in leading a culinary team to provide a balanced, high quality culinary service within budget.
  • Prepare appealing, well balanced modified diets in accordance with IDDSI guidance.
  • Supervise and direct the work of culinary staff, providing instruction and demonstrations to unqualified staff.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets the highest hygiene and food safety standards, supporting the Avery Food Safety Management System.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant catering qualification: City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2, NVQ or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of catering experience.
  • Demonstrated compassion and commitment to delivering high quality services to residents.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

  • Disclosure and Barring Service check; cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
