Job Description

We are a busy, popular independent restaurant in Location serving fresh, high quality food. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and passionate Sous Chef to join our team immediately.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily kitchen operations, prep and full service
  • Cook and present dishes exactly to our recipes and quality standards
  • Supervise, train and motivate junior kitchen staff
  • Manage stock, reduce waste and control food costs
  • Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, safety and HACCP regulations
  • Step up to run the kitchen independently when Head Chef is away
  • Assist with menu updates and seasonal changes
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie in a commercial kitchen
  • Strong cooking skills, good knowledge of ingredients and presentation
  • Food Hygiene Level 2/3 certified
  • Calm under pressure, organised and a good team leader
  • Flexible, hard working and reliable
  • Passion for great food and consistency
