£35,000 Salary 40 Hours Per Week Daytime Hours Only Moreton-in-Marsh
We're recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established garden centre restaurant for a Sous Chef to join a fresh food kitchen focused on quality, consistency, and seasonal cooking.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys leading a team, cooking with fresh ingredients, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance with no evening service and no split shifts.

- Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead the kitchen during service and in the Head Chef's absence
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Assist with menu development and seasonal specials
- Support ordering, stock control, and supplier management
- Monitor food costs, waste control, and kitchen efficiency
- Train and develop junior chefs
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
- Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie
- Passion for fresh, seasonal food
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Ability to perform under pressure during busy services
- Team-focused and proactive approach
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures
- Fresh food restaurant, café, hotel, or garden centre dining
- Experience supporting menu development
- Comfortable leading a team during service
- Passionate about creating quality food in a customer-focused environment
