Aspen's Bar & Kitchen at the SnowDome offers a unique alpine dining experience in the heart of Tamworth. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Sous Chef to support the kitchen operation and help deliver a fresh, exciting food offer that matches this one of a kind setting.
This is a hands on role where you'll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high quality food and ensure a smooth, efficient kitchen operation. You'll lead by example during service, support the development of the kitchen team, and play a key part in maintaining high standards across quality, consistency and performance.

Job Type: Full-Time
Full time: 40hrs a week (5 out of 7 days, including evenings and weekends)
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
- Deliver consistent high standards in quality and presentation
- Assist with menu development and seasonal food ideas
- Help manage stock levels, food costs and kitchen efficiency
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and compliance standards are maintained
- Train and develop junior kitchen team members
- Keep the kitchen organised, clean and operating smoothly
- Step into leadership responsibilities when the Head Chef is absent
- Previous experience in a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Good understanding of stock management and cost control
- A positive, team focused attitude
