As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations to ensure the highest food quality standards in line with DoubleTree by Hilton requirements, supervising staffing, station readiness, food preparation, portion control, presentation, and consistency while minimizing waste through proper storage. Maintains strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices in accordance with HACCP principles, supports ordering and control of fresh and dry goods to maintain par stock levels, coordinates closely with chefs and food & beverage teams to ensure timely service and readiness for last-minute changes, and deputizes for the Head Chef when required to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
What You'll BringYou will have previous experience in a similar role. You are confident working on your own initiative, able to prioritise multiple tasks, and respond flexibly to varying situations and requests. A proactive, can-do attitude, adaptability, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards are essential. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, a professional, well-presented appearance, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments.
