Job Description
SOUS CHEF RHU INN RHU, HELENSBURGH
We are looking for an experienced SOUS CHEF to join the Enlightened Hospitality Group as part of our exceptional team at R HU INN in Rhu, Helensburgh
4 5 hours per week.
20% Off all Food & Drink across all EHG Group.
Free staff meals on shifts.
The RHU INN is looking for a full-time SOUS CHEF who has a passion for working with fresh , locally sourced ingredients in a beautiful setting.
As a SOUS CHEF, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food that is in line with our high standards. To be eligible for this role, you will need to have at least 1 years experience working in a similar position and possess a sound culinary knowledge.
The position is full time and you must be able to work evenings & weekends.
Support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations to a high standard.
Supervise the kitchen brigade, ensuring consistency in preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Maintain stock control, carry out regular stocktakes, and assist with ordering and supplier liaison.
Uphold food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen regulations at all times (HACCP compliance).
Contribute to menu planning and dish development, bringing creativity and seasonal awareness.
Lead by example, training and mentoring junior chefs to encourage skill development and teamwork.
Take charge of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, maintaining service standards and organisation.
Ensure portion control, reduce food waste, and monitor quality control during busy services.
Work closely with front-of-house to ensure smooth communication and timely service delivery.
Remain calm under pressure, managing multiple tasks during high-volume periods.
