The Role

As the right hand to our Head Chef, the Sous Chef plays a crucial role in menu creation, staff training, and maintaining the seamless operation of our culinary team. Their creativity, precision, and leadership inspire everyone in the kitchen, turning every meal into a memorable experience for our guests. The Sous Chef's dedication to culinary perfection and their ability to handle the pressures of a busy kitchen make them an indispensable part of our team, driving the success of our dining services.

Key Accountabilities

Food & Service : Contribute to the development of menus, assisting with pricing and costs. High standards of food to be served at all times and consistency is maintained throughout.

Leadership: Inspire, lead the kitchen team by providing a great example as well as guidance on service. Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment, fostering a culture of pride.

Safe & Legal: Support the Head Chef in maintain our food safety ratings. Completing all the necessary checks, controls and maintaining documentation. Ensure staff are compliant with all food safety, kitchen health and HAACAP. All processes and procedures are documented, maintain and recorded.

Financial Management: Contribute to the management of cost controls, waste and kitchen.

Business development & Networking: Be involved in business development discussions and bring ideas to the table.

Essential Criteria

Must have held the position of Sous Chef for a minimum of 2 years,
Will have previously managed a team of more than 3 people
Can demonstrate the standard of food served
Have Food Safety Level 2, Allergen and Intolerance training, HACCAP qualification
Must be able to demonstrate their knowledge of food purchasing, waste management and efficiencies within a kitchen environment.
Can demonstrate a keen interest in developing and driving footfall and revenue
