Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per year


Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent


Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days from 7 (including evenings and weekends)

The Opportunity

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Sous Chef to join their kitchen team within a unique alpine-inspired hospitality setting in Tamworth.


This is a hands on role for a chef who enjoys working with fresh food, leading a team, and delivering consistently high standards during busy services.


You'll work closely with the Head Chef to develop the food offering, support the kitchen team, and help create an exceptional experience for guests.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen

  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service

  • Prepare and cook high quality food to consistently high standards

  • Assist with menu development and seasonal food ideas

  • Help manage stock levels, food costs, and kitchen efficiency

  • Train and develop junior members of the team

  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and Health & Safety standards

  • Keep the kitchen organised, clean, and efficient

  • Take responsibility for the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent


What We're Looking For

We're looking for a passionate Sous Chef or experienced Senior Chef who is ready to take the next step in their career.


You'll ideally have:



  • Previous Sous Chef or Senior Chef experience

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Experience working in a busy kitchen

  • Good knowledge of stock control and food costs

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • A positive, team-focused approach

  • The ability to remain calm under pressure

  • A genuine passion for quality food and great guest experiences


Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week

  • Evening and weekend availability required
