An exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new hospitality destination from day one.

Host Staffing is recruiting an experienced Sous Chef for the launch of a beautifully restored premium country pub in West Berkshire. Opening in late August / early September, this new venture is set to become one of the area's leading food-led pubs, offering a relaxed yet premium dining experience with an emphasis on outstanding hospitality, seasonal British cuisine and high-quality local produce.

This is a rare opportunity to join the opening team, working alongside an experienced Head Chef to help establish the kitchen, shape the culture and build a reputation for exceptional food from the very beginning.

The Role
  • Instrumental in the successful launch and day to day operation of the kitchen.
  • Support menu execution, lead services, mentor junior chefs and ensure consistently high standards across every section.
  • Suitable for an ambitious Sous Chef who enjoys fresh food, thrives in a hands on environment and wants to be part of an exciting new chapter.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready for the next step
  • A fresh food background within quality pubs or restaurants
  • Passion for seasonal British cooking
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
  • High standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation
  • A positive attitude and desire to help build something special
