Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in a busy hotel kitchen setting. The ideal candidate will be used to a busy kitchen and assist the Head Chef in overseeing food preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes, and maintaining a smooth kitchen operation.

Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in creating and executing menu items
- Supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies
- Contribute to menu planning and development
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
- Support the Head Chef in training and mentoring kitchen staff

Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant environment
- Strong culinary skills with proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience in team management and leadership
- Qualifications in culinary arts or relevant field are desirable
