INTRODUCTION JOB PURPOSEThe Sourcing Coordinator oversees the seasonal placement and end to end management of finished goods for specific product categories, ensuring alignment with supply chain objectives to deliver high quality products on time and at the right cost.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Deliver end to end seasonal sourcing execution across assigned product categories, partnering with the Sourcing Manager to set seasonal objectives, advise vendors on calendars, unit plans and minimums, and proactively resolve sourcing challenges.
- Lead ongoing communication with vendors and manufacturers to manage raw material call offs, production progress and deliveries, ensuring alignment with the Time & Action calendar, quality standards and best working practices.
- Partner closely with Product Development, Technical, Quality Assurance, Raw Materials, Customer Operations and local sourcing offices to ensure BOM and cost accuracy, fit approvals, timely order receipts, and seamless seasonal handover.
- Maintain data integrity and reporting by updating PLM with vendor costs, monitoring pre buy versus actuals, identifying material or capacity risks, and preparing clear updates for weekly production meetings.
- Support commercial performance by collaborating with the Sourcing Manager on pricing, margin optimisation, counter sourcing strategies, vendor selection and seasonal vendor performance reviews.
- Champion operational excellence by embedding consistent sourcing processes across teams, managing buying and delivery deadlines, prioritising workload effectively, and supporting the development of Sourcing Assistants as required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SAP and PLM systems is desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen, with proven costing, negotiation and retail math capability, ideally supported by prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities effectively and adapt to change in a fast paced, seasonal business.
- Highly organised and detail driven, demonstrating strong follow through, problem solving mindset and accountability.
- Collaborative and relationship focused, able to work effectively across cross functional teams and at all levels, both as a team contributor and leader.
- International mindset, with foreign language skills and willingness to travel considered an advantage.
