Role purpose
- The TP&O function enhances efficiency, reduces costs, mitigates risks, and drives value across the organization by negotiating favorable terms and optimizing processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce cycle times.
- The TP&O team manages relationships with suppliers, ensuring risks are assessed and mitigated in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. They champion data-driven decision-making to add value to PIC.
- Roles within TP&O act as relationship owners, partnering with various teams to manage the third-party and supplier lifecycle from due diligence to renewal or exit.

Relationship Owner - Accountable for proactively managing third-party and supplier relationships throughout their lifecycle.
Cost Savings - Responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement.
Data-Driven Decision Making - Collaborates internally and externally to analyze data, improve systems, processes, and technology.
Specific Accountabilities for the Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Manager include:
- Analyzing PIC's supply chain and associated data.
- Developing and executing sourcing strategies to optimize procurement and achieve cost savings.
- Reporting on procurement metrics to track performance and identify opportunities.
- Collaborating across departments including Legal, Finance, and Enterprise Architecture.
- Continuing personal development in technical and non-technical skills.
- Staying informed of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes.
Knowledge
- Supplier sourcing and management strategies
- Third-party selection and due diligence processes
- Contract negotiation and achieving economies of scale
- Category management techniques and spend analysis
- Supply chain resilience and ESG credentials
Experience
- Qualification or strong experience in supply chain management or related fields
- Proven track record of cost savings and supplier performance improvements
- Proficient in procurement software/tools
- Experience fostering innovation and collaboration in supply chains
- Experience using data-driven strategies for decision-making
