At The K Club we have a great opportunity for a Sommelier to join our team, based primarily at our newly renovated Barton Grill Restaurant.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance and management of the cellar
  • Ensure the deep cleaning duties of the cellar and wine fridges are adhered to
  • Liaise with the Chief Sommelier in relation to stock levels and ordering
  • Assist with the cleaning and preparation of all wine service equipment
  • Responsible for the upkeep, stocking and stock takes of the Wine Fridges and cellar
  • Assist in the smooth, efficient running of the Restaurant & Private Dining spaces in relation to wine, including other restaurants on the Resort when required
  • Ensure all aspects of wine service and standards of presentation and service are maintained
  • Assist in achieving profile and revenue targets
  • Participate in Cellar Tours with clients and guests
  • Provide wine training sessions with the team
Qualifications
  • WSET Level 2, or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role in luxury hospitality
  • Strong knowledge of French & New World wines
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
