The Finance department supports and controls the business activities and reporting requirements of the firm, including Product Control, Legal Entity control, Tax, and Treasury.

This role ensures timely and accurate financial and management accounting for the Marex Solutions division and contributes to the daily P&L and Balance sheets. It also drives Finance transformation and change initiatives aligned with Marex Solutions' broader agenda.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily P&L reconciliation and controls for the Solutions business, including accurate reporting of Greeks and P&L to front office and senior management.
  • Collaborate with Valuation and Risk departments to calculate and verify adjustments (CVA, DVA, FVA, Bid/Offer).
  • Analyze full profit before tax, including cost reviews, and provide insights on desk economics to management and desk heads monthly.
  • Provide P&L/Balancesheet commentary for legal entity control, analyzing how Structured Products impact each entity (where relevant).
  • Ensure all month-end manual accounting adjustments are correctly posted for OTCs and Structured notes.
  • Verify that the balance sheet is fully substantiated monthly.
  • Work with Support and Control teams to resolve portfolio discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Contribute to process improvements and transformation projects within Finance.
  • Assist in building trade flows from Front Office systems to the General Ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to operational risk frameworks and internal policies.
  • Demonstrate high standards of integrity and conduct, reflecting company values.
  • Report policy breaches and escalate risks promptly.
  • Contribute to risk management processes as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Structured Derivatives, preferably Structured Equities.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments including Management, Front Office, Legal, Operations, and Risk.
  • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and FO/BO systems (e.g., ICE, Sophis preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in process optimization or change management (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, or Alteryx (preferred).
  • Experience in regulated environments with understanding of risk and compliance.
