Job overview

We're looking for a Solution Engineer to provide hands on technical capability within our Solution Delivery Squad. You'll contribute to secure software development, delivery and continuous improvement within the team.

Key responsibilities
  • Contributing to the delivery of code
  • Adhering to coding standards and AXA's software delivery lifecycle to ensure the delivery of secure, quality systems
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of modern security practices and standards
  • Adhering to best practice architecture, design, development, test and deployment principles
  • Working with stakeholders to ensure the product is aligned to business goals
  • Challenge when required in a respectful and open-minded manner
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the wider engineering team
Work arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

Your skills & experience
  • Experience as a Software/Test Engineer
  • Strong understanding of Clean Code practices, SOLID Principles and Design Patterns
  • Proven experience and knowledge of Agile practices, principles and theories
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Guidewire Insurance Suite Products, ClaimCenter preferable but not essential
  • Strong situational awareness and adaptability
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Cloud certification is desirable
