Job Title: Solution Architect (Insurance industry experience is mandatory)

Location: Knutsford (3x days on-site per week)

Salary/Rate: £447 inside IR35

Start Date: 26/01/2026

Job Type: Initial contract until 31/12/2026

Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for an experienced Solution Architect with previous experience in the Insurance industry.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Define and maintain enterprise and solution architectures for insurance systems (policy, billing, claims, underwriting) in line with business goals and transformation initiatives.
• Create "as-is" and "to-be" architectures and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategic vision.
• Govern architectural standards, principles, and policies via setting up and chairing architecture review boards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to synchronise technology roadmaps with insurance product offerings and compliance standards.
• Solution & Integration Architecture
• Architect API-first and microservices-based integration solutions, connecting policy, billing, and claims platforms (e.g. Guidewire) with internal and external systems.
• Oversee implementation of Guidewire Edge APIs, GX Models, Messaging Framework, and Integration Gateway.
• Lead data migration and legacy modernisation efforts, ensuring seamless transformation to modern insurance platforms.
