Solution Architect - Smart Places (OT/IT)

Solution Architect with digital experience is required by my prestigious client to work on leading edge Smart Places (OT/IT) programmes.

We're looking for a Digital Solution Architect with strong IT/OT integration experience to help design and deliver next-generation smart places - from cities and campuses to stadia and major venues.

This role sits within a growing digital team working on high-profile, real-world projects where technology, data and the built environment intersect.

What You'll Do

• Design end-to-end smart place architectures (IoT, data platforms, digital twins, building systems, cloud)

• Translate business and user needs into technical designs, roadmaps and specifications

• Lead technical discovery, workshops and stakeholder engagement

• Oversee solution delivery, vendor selection and system integration

• Ensure solutions meet cybersecurity, standards and data governance requirements

• Lead delivery workstreams and manage client relationships

• Support team development and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Experience as a Digital Solution Architect or lead designer on smart buildings, campuses, cities or districts

• Strong understanding of interoperable IT/OT systems

• Knowledge of IoT platforms, cloud services, sensors, edge computing and data architecture

• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience

• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience with digital twins, Real Time data platforms or analytics

• Knowledge of cybersecurity, networking or ICT infrastructure

• Background in smart stadia, venues or large-scale urban projects
