The Solar PV Installer will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems throughout Ireland.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Installing solar PV panels, mounting systems and associated equipment on rooftops and ground mounted structures.
• Installing and connecting electrical cabling, inverters, batteries and other solar system components.
• Reading and following installation plans, technical drawings and manufacturer specifications.
• Carrying out system testing and commissioning to ensure installations operate safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with fault finding, repairs and maintenance of solar PV systems when required.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, health and safety requirements and relevant electrical standards.
• Safely using hand tools, power tools and access equipment required for installation works.
• Working closely with electricians, supervisors and other installation team members to complete projects on time.
• Maintaining a professional and customer focused approach while representing the company.
• Travelling to customer sites nationwide as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in solar PV installation, electrical installation or a related technical trade.
• Experience installing, maintaining or repairing solar energy systems, electrical equipment or similar systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans.
• Knowledge of safe working practices, including working at height and electrical safety procedures.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to travel to customer sites throughout Ireland as required.
