Job Description

Your responsibilities and tasks:- Create and execute automated test sequences in accordance with defined test specifications.
 - Contribute to the implementation of GEA's test strategy, including the definition, selection, and documentation of test cases.
 - Utilize Jira X Ray as a test management tool to manage and track all testing activities.
 - Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross site teams and external development partners.
 - Analyse, optimise, and refine test plans in terms of time and cost planning, resource allocation, technical feasibility, and test phases.
 - Prepare, document, and evaluate test results, including test protocols, reports, and defect descriptions, ensuring full compliance with documentation standards.
 
- Successfully completed (technical) university degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification.
 - Professional experience in software development is an advantage.
 - Strong methodological knowledge in design validation and testing across all project phases-from requirements analysis to go live.
 - Solid understanding of web service architectures (RESTful services, web applications).
 - Hands on experience with DevOps, including CI/CD and automation processes.
 - Familiarity with embedded systems, Python, and Docker is an advantage.
 - Experience with Jira X Ray and standard test management methodologies.
 - ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (or higher) is required.
 - Strong ability to work independently and take initiative; excellent communication skills; team oriented, resilient, and committed.
 - Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
 - Proficient in MS Office, operating systems, and databases (e.g., SQL).
 - Passion for new technologies and interest in web applications connected to embedded systems, combined with pragmatic judgement and a hands on mindset.
