Software Test Engineer - Design Data Management

We are looking for a user focused applications engineer to support internal users by building and testing data management software solutions. As a globally distributed team member, you will work with modern software development practices and deploy across private and public cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role within the development team to test and provide high quality data management software solutions for users.
• Write, test, and deploy scalable test frameworks that allow developers to self serve.
• Develop and execute automated software tests, plans, and documentation.
• Automate reporting on test pass/fail rates.
• Automate toil (repeatable mundane tasks).

Required Skills

• Previous experience with Go, Python, Typescript, Temporal, Perl, or any modern development language, plus corresponding testing / mocking frameworks.
• Proficiency with standard software engineering practices such as agile development methodologies, unit testing, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with at least one data management platform (e.g., Perforce, Git, Subversion).
• Experience with Pytest and/or Playwright is highly desirable.
• Experience with JIRA and JIRA Xray.
• Knowledge of orchestration platforms (Swarm, Openshift, k8s, etc.).
• Hands on experience with at least one CI/CD platform (Jenkins, Gitlab, GitHub, etc.).
• Experience with Docker, Podman or similar containerization technologies.
• Comfortable with Linux.
• Experience with technologies such as Ansible, Terraform is also highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic, electronic & computer engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of export licensing requirements as described above.
