Software Quality Assurance Lead

This is a fantastic opportunity to establish a new capability within our Digital Products team. You will define standards and processes and help us understand best practice and innovative approaches to quality, ensuring our customers have a great experience using our digital products every time. You will work with teams across the business to improve user acceptance testing, providing them with foundational tools and concepts so they can conduct thorough testing at an appropriate level. This is a strategic role that may initially involve hands on quality assurance.

Our meals are crafted by dieticians and chefs and then frozen to lock in the goodness. Wiltshire Farm Foods, our sister company, is the UK's largest ready meal supplier, cooking and delivering over 330 different frozen ready meals across the UK.
Responsibilities- Define quality assurance processes to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce time to market, embedding quality into every phase of the software delivery lifecycle.
- Plan and develop comprehensive QA plans and strategies that align with organisational goals, defining clear quality metrics and standards, and documenting processes, roles, responsibilities and procedures.
- Create a culture of quality by promoting quality as a value rather than a one off phase, guiding the team to improve product quality.
- Manage risk by proactively identifying potential quality risks within software projects and devising effective mitigation strategies.
- Provide visibility into the quality of each digital product by benchmarking and reporting.
- Stay current with industry developments through research, conference attendance and knowledge sharing with the team.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance with a track record of implementing successful QA strategies across API, web and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with modern testing methodologies and software development life cycles.
- Ability to clearly present ideas to technical and non technical stakeholders.
- A continuous improvement mindset, always looking to improve processes and advocate for quality.
- Experience identifying and leading external partners to deliver QA strategies.
- Experience implementing testing automation tools from the ground up.
Based at our Trowbridge head office, you will be required to work onsite at least three days per week.
