As a Software Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our technical strategy, guiding the development of innovative solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. You'll lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of software engineers, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of software projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with OKR's.
Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on software architecture and design, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
Talent Development: Identify training needs, support career growth, and participate in hiring processes to build a world-class engineering team.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in software engineering management or a leadership role.
Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Managing teams working on complex Back End (deep) tech
Start-up experience
The position is hybrid with 2-3 days per week in central London
