Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer within nZero Group, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of the gas sector while advancing your own professional journey.

We have opportunities available at our South West Office in Almondsbury, Bristol

Responsibilities

• Develop functional automation software programs that are easy to follow, and fault find
• Carry out in depth software testing with the commissioning team to ensure the repeatability and reliability of the system
• Use your garnered knowledge to train and advise the Junior Software Engineers on best principals and guidelines.
• Attend client meetings and be comfortable representing the company when face to face with clients
• Work closely with the site-based engineers and commissioning engineers to continuously improve our standards and help the design team to view their projects from multiple perspectives, including maintenance and decommissioning.
• Build a clear image of the existing processes and offer improvements and suggestions
• Aid the commissioning team during pre-FAT and FAT with any software related issues

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Engineering Software-related role
• Demonstrable experience working on complex automation software systems
• Experience with industry leading PLC hardware and software (e.g. Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
• Must be able to integrate multiple sub-systems into the automation system

Pay

The salary banding for this role is £45,000 to £60,000 and is based on an applicant's Skills, Training and Competence.
