Software Engineer

Job Description:

IBM WebSphere MQ Administrator with strong experience in messaging systems, Linux/Wintel configuration, and enterprise integration. This role focuses on managing IBM MQ infrastructure, supporting migration projects, constructing and decommissioning flows, and ensuring robust messaging solutions in a secure and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, monitor, and maintain IBM WebSphere MQ across environments
• Install, configure, and upgrade IBM MQ software
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and messaging issues
• Create and manage file transfers, message flows, and decommission old flows
• Configure systems on Linux and Wintel platforms
• Participate in build, verification, deployment, and software upgrades
• Collaborate in DevOps/Agile Scrum environments
• Document operational procedures and configuration
• Support disaster recovery, backups, and performance tuning
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical excellence

Required Skills:

• 8-10 years of experience with IBM WebSphere MQ
• Strong Linux and Windows server configuration knowledge
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile Scrum practices
• Experience with Azure (preferred)
• Analytical and debugging skills, including handling thread dump and memory issues
• Solid understanding of enterprise-grade messaging systems and security best practices
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
