LOCATION: Salford Dock House 1 day a week Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: up to £57,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

The iPlayer Catalogue (Video Content Catalogue) team is responsible for creating and maintaining content catalogues that powers consistent experience across the iPlayer product and partner platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Building excellently engineered, highly available solutions using agile development practices.
- Contributing to a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating effectively to deliver the best value audience experience.
- Working in a DevOps model including solving operational issues and providing out-of-hours support.
- Sharing knowledge, learning new skills and adapting to change.
Essential Criteria:
- Expertise designing, building and supporting modern back-end Cloud based applications using TypeScript/JavaScript, NodeJS and AWS.
- Expertise in Cloud architecture and key technologies (CloudFormation, Lambda, SQS, S3, DynamoDB).
- Expertise in modern development tools and practices (e.g. CI/CD, DevOps, Pair Programming, TDD).
- Proven track record of building software solutions with consideration to product value and non-functional requirements (e.g. observability, maintainability and DevEx).
- Developing software with scale, security and reliability in mind.
Desired:
- Experience developing systems using microservices architecture.
- Experience developing systems using event driven architecture.
