We are recruiting for a Software Engineer who will contribute to the design, development, and improvement of cutting-edge AI-driven solutions. You'll be working on internal tools that leverage AI to solve business problems, initially focused on improving our learning and assessment content generation and management processes.

About the role
As a key member of our content tools software development team, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, testing, and maintaining reliable, scalable software solutions for the content tools domain under expert supervision.
- Enhancing core internal applications by implementing new features and resolving software issues.
- Integrating AI technologies, with an emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering methodologies.
- Utilising low-code/no-code platforms such as Retool, and workflow automation solutions including n8n.
- Collaborating in an agile setting alongside skilled engineers, Product Owners, and Subject Matter Experts.

About you
We're looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer with a passion for AI and machine learning technologies. While experience with our specific tech stack would be ideal, your potential, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn cutting-edge AI technologies is more important. We value strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to participate in a highly collaborative approach to software development.
Your experience includes
- Demonstrated experience delivering professional software solutions, with proficiency in at least one relevant programming language such as TypeScript or Python.
- Solid understanding of AI and Machine Learning, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Hands-on experience or strong aptitude for quick learning with low-code/no-code platforms like Retool and automation tools such as n8n.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS services (e.g., S3, RDS).
- Practical experience working in agile development teams and participating actively in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality software for AI-driven content generation, implementing features under guidance.
- Skill in troubleshooting, debugging, and independently resolving complex, well-defined issues.
- Commitment to best practices for performance, scalability, security, and quality while staying current with trends in AI and software engineering.
- Active participation in team ceremonies, such as stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and risk mitigation efforts.
