Software Development Manager (Python)

Overview

A well-established business is looking for an accomplished an accomplished Software Development Manager with a passion for building robust, scalable and secure systems using Python, to join its team. Please note, this role is Outside IR35. The company embraces hybrid and flexible working so you will be able to work remotely, with 1 or 2 days per week at the office in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small in-house development team as both Lead Developer and manager.
• Act as technical authority and solutions architect on software written in Python, lead architectural discussions, code, ensure technical quality and deliver complex software projects.
• Architect solutions using Python (FastAPI / FlasK) and lead the technical designs for APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure and backend orchestration.
• Partner with key stakeholders to drive technological innovation and business growth.

Qualifications

• Accomplished developer with a passion for technology and desire to lead and mentor a team.
• Proven experience architecting solutions using Python (FastAPI / FlasK).
• Experience with AWS; familiarity with MongoDB would be advantageous.
