Software Development Engineer, Ring AI

Overview

At Ring, we're seeking a driven and talented Software Development Engineer to join our AI Team. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to revolutionize the home security landscape by working on cloud services that power our machine learning operation pipelines handling petabytes of heterogeneous data and enabling data scientists to create and optimize numerous models in fast iterations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud services, distributed systems, and web services.
• Tackle challenges in an agile environment and deliver a world-class platform that supports rapid development of AI models.
• Collaborate with Software, Hardware, and Computer Vision Engineers to foster innovation and cross-functional synergy.
• Work with autonomy to make an impact while contributing to team growth and learning from customers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• 2+ years of system design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent in Java and Python
• Experience in machine learning model development
• Experience in GenAI and Agent service development using LLM/VLM
