What you will do
  • Provide day-to-day operational management and supervision to social work staff within the fostering team, ensuring efficient service delivery and performance
  • Oversee foster carer recruitment, assessment, and approval processes, complying with Fostering Services Regulations and National Minimum Standards
  • Conduct robust supervision, annual reviews, and provide ongoing support to foster carers to promote placement stability and high-quality care
  • Lead on safeguarding matters, ensuring adherence to the Children Act 1989/2004 and Working Together guidance
Person Specification
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Post-qualifying management or leadership training (such as ILM, PQ Award) is desirable
  • Must be registered with Social Work England
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Care Planning Regulations, and Fostering Regulations 2011
  • Understand the Ofsted regulatory framework and inspection requirements
