We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Social Work Apprenticeship Programme. This opportunity is ideal for those who hold a degree and who have experience working with children and families and are ready to take the next step in their career.
As an apprentice, you will earn while you learn, gaining hands on experience in statutory social work while completing a fully funded Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work (England). You will receive dedicated support from a Practice Educator, academic tutor support from the University, and access to group learning and reflective sessions through our highly regarded Learning Academy.
After successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for registration as a Social Worker with the regulatory body, Social Work England. Thereafter you will be provided with a role in our excellent ASYE programme and ongoing career pathway opportunities. Interview ProcessThe recruitment process has two stages:
- Stage 1: Interviews held by Birmingham Children's Trust in May/June.
- Stage 2: Successful applicants will be invited to a University interview in June.
- Hold a minimum 2:2 degree or above.
- Have at least 2 years' direct experience working with children and families.
- Demonstrate the potential to take on the responsibilities of a qualified Social Worker.
- Are motivated, committed, and dedicated to providing high quality support to children and families.

- Understanding of the social context of social work practice
