Job Description

Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to be partnering with a leading charity to recruit a Social Communications Officer (Temporary) to support their busy communications team during a period of heightened activity.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate communicator with strong social media literacy and a keen understanding of how to build engagement, raise awareness, and inspire action on important global issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of engaging organic social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Create and curate graphics, photos, text, and short-form video posts tailored to platform and audience.
  • Respond to briefs from teams such as advocacy, events, and fundraising.
  • Ensure content aligns with organisational messaging and brand guidelines.
  • Prioritise and manage multiple tasks across different media, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor engagement and provide feedback on content performance where required.
  • Collaborate closely with the Social Communications Manager and permanent Social Communications Officer to plan and execute campaigns.


Person Specification:

  • Proven experience managing or contributing to professional social media channels.
  • Strong understanding of organic social media strategies and platform-specific best practice.
  • Ability to translate complex or sensitive topics into accessible, compelling content.
  • Proficiency with social media content creation tools (graphics, video editing, scheduling).
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand voice across channels.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.


What s on Offer:

  • An initial 11-week contract within a fantastic organisation.
  • A hybrid working pattern with 1-2 days per-week onsite in London.
  • A fantastic rate of £138.34 per day + £17.22 daily holiday for the successful candidate.
