Description

Avista is a progressive organisation, providing a wide range of services including Day, Residential and Respite supports to both Children and Adults in various locations across 3 Regions. The organisation is looking for Candidates who are committed to supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities and their families, in a Person Centred, Community Based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.

JOB ADVERTISEMENT APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION: SOCIAL CARE WORKER DAY SERVICES, ROSCREA NORTH TIPPERARY/SOUTH OFFALY

Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

• Must have full driving licence and willingness to drive manual vehicle.
• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability.
• Proficiency in the English Language.
• Experience supporting a person with behaviours of concern.
• To adopt a holistic and person centre approach to your role to ensure people are supported to live their best lives
• Have an awareness of HIQA Standards and regulations
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.

Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
