Social Care Worker required for role providing care to adolescents in a residential care environment.

Job Specification

• Provide care and support to adolescents from ages 12 - 17 years in the care of my client's services.
• To contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming and caring environment and to a high standard of child care practice throughout the unit.
• To contribute to the provision of a programme of stimulating activities for the children and young people.
• To ensure that all relevant records within the unit are updated regularly.
• Provide support to young people to engage with educational activities.
• Support young people in maintaining contact and access visits with their family.
• Adhere to the organisational policies and reporting requirements.
• Observing and recording observations of the young people in the care of the service.

Person Specification

• Experience working with adolescents ideally in a residential/care environment.
• Experience working with challenging behaviour is advantageous.
• Relevant degree in Social Care
• Flexible to work roster arrangement as required.
