Job Description

Location: Innovation House, Newport Road, Caldicot, Monmouthshire, NP26 3DG, Monmouthshire County Council

Salary: £19.32 per hour

Expectation and Outcomes of this Role:-
  • You will work closely with the workforce development officers and training organiser to develop and deliver learning opportunities for our directorate and external partners across Monmouthshire and further a field where required.
  • You will be guided by the priorities set by Social Care Wales, internal / external policy and legislation, as well as the learning needs identified within the services.
  • To support the delivery of quality social care services through ensuring high Quality Learning & Development opportunities and developed and delivered to the Social care Social care workforce.
  • To facilitate and monitor the registration and re-registration of the social care workforce with Social Care Wales
Your responsibilities are to:-
  • Design, co-ordinate and deliver engaging learning opportunities that reflects Monmouthshires core values.
  • Develop, deliver and embed new approaches to learning and Development.
  • Develop and deliver learning and development opportunities across a diverse range of subjects.
  • Work jointly with the social care workforce development officers and training organiser to plan, co-ordinate and deliver learning and development that is essential for both childrens and adults social care work force.
  • You will work with colleagues locally and deliver training to the social care Workforce,
  • Ensure equality, diversity and inclusion when delivering all learning.
  • To facilitate the organisation of training events and support related administration such as booking venues and completing registers of attendance.
  • To participate in the regular collection and recording of training data.
  • You will be able to facilitate Learning through a number of platforms including face to face, digital and e-learning.
  • You will deliver learning and support when required to develop social care workforces essential skills in literacy numeracy and ICT.
  • You will have the ability to communicate and engage effectively, and be confident in building and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • You will have good IT and administrative skills, be able to manage your own workload and respond to deadlines.
  • Continually evaluate the impact of learning and development and adapt to meet ongoing need.
  • You will be flexible and able to adjust Learning to meet the needs of participants including evening and weekend delivery within Monmouthshire and wider locations where needed.
  • You will work with the Social care workforce Development Manager to source appropriate resources and training materials.
  • You will value, and be passionate about, your own personal and professional development by seeking out appropriate opportunities.
  • You will carry out your role openly and honestly and develop trusting relationships.
  • You will ensure you are up to date with all mandatory training.
  • You will be expected to maintain safe working practices at all times for self and others in accordance with the authoritys policy statement on Health and Safety at Work.
  • Continue to be part of developing and contributing towards regional collaboration and partnership working where required in line with the Monmouthshire business model.
