Social Care Leader

AA Euro Healthcare are currently recruiting a Social Care Leader on behalf of our well-established client, specialising in residential childcare located in Carlow. This is an fantastic opportunity for an experienced social care professional to step into a leadership role within a therapeutic residential setting for young people.

Role Overview

The Social Care Leader will lead shifts, work collaboratively with the Service Manager/Deputy Manager, and support the delivery of tailored Care Plans while championing best practice and maintaining high standards of care aligned with the clients values.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate staff on shift
• Implement care, placement and crisis management plans
• Provide high-quality, trauma-informed residential care tailored to the needs of young people.
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Liaise with social workers and external professionals
• Ensure HIQA and safeguarding standards are met
• Support and mentor team members

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience with children/young people
• Experience supporting complex and challenging needs
• Leadership or senior social care experience
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
• Eligibility to work in Ireland without the need of sponsorship.
• Full clean manual driving licence (Ireland)
