Are you an experienced Sliding Head Programmer / Setter / Operator looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team? Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate STAR 38-B sliding head (Swiss-type) CNC lathes, ensuring efficient machine operation.
• Load raw materials and perform precise tooling setups according to job specifications to guarantee high-quality outputs.
• Program, edit, and adjust CNC programs to achieve correct dimensions and surface finishes.
• Inspect components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and verniers, ensuring all parts meet specified tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Document inspection results meticulously and maintain quality documentation to uphold standards.
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any machining or tooling issues to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to suggest and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience operating and programming sliding head (Swiss-type) CNC lathes.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming, ideally with knowledge of STAR machines.
• Proficient in inspecting components with precision measuring tools.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
