Job Overview

Bespoke furniture company based in East Kilbride are looking to recruit a Customer Care and Remedial Worker for their sliding wardrobe door company involving repairing, adjusting, or replacing faulty or damaged sliding doors and tracks in residential settings. Working on new build sites most of the time throughout the country.

This role will suit experienced multi-traders or joiners with 1st and 2nd fix carpentry experience.

Main Duties & Responsibilities Key Tasks
  • Adjusting Misaligned Doors: Fixing doors that do not close properly, are crooked, or hit against the wall by adjusting the top or bottom wheel mechanisms.
  • Track Repair/Replacement: Fixing or replacing broken, worn-out, or uneven floor tracks and top channels.
  • Wheel/Runner Replacement: Replacing broken, sticking, or worn sliding door rollers/wheels to ensure smooth movement.
  • Re-hanging/Re-aligning Doors: Re-installing doors that have come off the tracks, including installing anti-jump clips.
  • Structural Adjustments: Fixing damaged frames, planing door edges, or installing, modifying, or replacing ceiling/floor liners if the opening is not square.
  • Panel Replacement: Replacing damaged mirror or wood panels within the sliding doors.
Employer Expectations Skills/Knowledge/Experience etc
  • Previous experience in carpentry, joinery, or bedroom/closet fitting.
  • Familiarity with operating standard hand tools, including drills, jigsaws, and planers.
  • Ability to work in private domestic environments, often alone, requiring high levels of professionalism and punctuality.
  • Capability to assess and fix unexpected issues on-site.
  • Ability to record remedial actions and maintain audit records.
Qualifications/Tickets/Licences Required
  • Full UK driving license is required.
