SLDD Lecturer
- Hourly Rate: £35 - £45
- Location: West London
- Job Type: Part-time (18 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday)
We are seeking an experienced SLDD Lecturer to join our client's team on a part-time basis. This role involves teaching a pre-entry group of learners with severe learning disabilities (SLDD). The position is for an ongoing booking, ideal for someone dedicated to making a significant impact in the lives of SEND learners.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver educational content tailored to learners with severe learning disabilities.
- Plan and prepare lessons that meet the individual needs and capabilities of each student.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and tools to engage and support learners effectively.
- Monitor and assess the progress of learners, providing regular feedback to help them achieve their educational goals.
- Collaborate with other educational professionals and support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SLDD Lecturer or a similar role focused on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by learners with severe learning disabilities.
- Ability to create and adapt educational materials to meet the needs of SEND learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students and colleagues.
- Commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices and methodologies.
