Job Description
Overview

We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Mental Health Co ordinator to join our Mental Health Act team, providing administration in line with the Service Level Agreement with the Acute Trusts.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.

Main duties
  • Ensure efficient administration of statutory requirements under the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 with Mental Health Administrators.
  • Ensure compliance with the Acts, Codes of Practice, Trust policies and procedures, and maintain Service Level Agreements with acute trusts.
  • Support clinical staff to comply with the MHA, MHA Code of Practice and Guiding Principles.
  • Travel to sites as required to collect section paperwork and support acute staff queries.
  • Create training packages and deliver them in accordance with current legislation.
  • Create databases and maintain a register of audits in line with legislation.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the MHA and Code of Practice.
  • Previous MHA administration experience.
  • Experience in training delivery to professionals.
  • Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
